This piece was inspired by all of the pockets of community care, mutual aid, grassroots efforts, and neighbors putting their time, resources, and safety on the line for other neighbors across the U.S. as we struggle through the multiple issues our country currently faces.

Artist's Statement:

Through fiber art I seek most to explore the theme of connection, particularly our connection to nature and the land around us, as well as to each other in community. I aim to create lush, textured pieces that momentarily pull someone out of our overwhelmingly digital world and into little moments of feeling the forest around you, or the endurance of a community binding its wounds, or running your hand through vines trailing over the edge of a city balcony.
