This is the second print of a monotype with the sun rising over the Sangre de Cristo mountains of New Mexico on a cold, snowy morning. Oil pastels were used to enhance the details of the print.

Artist's Statement:

Don Barnett’s unique style of art blends line-work with vivid colors using oil/watercolor/gouache paint, and occasionally oil pastels. Lines don’t always follow a linear pattern and colors are often exaggerated resulting in a lively expressiveness. Primary sources of Don’s inspiration comes through travel and other experiences and observations as he strives to bring life to recognizable shapes and forms that are all too often unobserved and taken for granted.
